The Coastal Amateur Radio Society will be hosting a Technician Class Amateur Radio Operator course this month; this is the Level 1 license. You will learn everything you need to know to attain your FCC license. The 12-hour course is broken up into four three-hour sessions. No prerequisites required and attendance at all sessions is not required, although encouraged.

The class is free, but you should purchase the ARRL HAM Radio License Manual. This is the guide that the course will be taught from. You can find this book at several online sites and you will need it before Jan 25th.
